Deanery High School Wigan New Building
Welcome to the Deanery High School
From Head Teacher Mrs Janice Rowlands

I am delighted to welcome you to the Deanery High School’s and Sixth Form College’s websites. As a Voluntary Aided Church of England School, Christian principles form the foundation of the education and care we provide. This is reflected in our values –
Trust, Respect, Compassion, Forgiveness & Peace.

We are proud of our achievements, which demonstrate a single minded focus on helping and supporting our students to reach their full potentials within a positive and nurturing environment. We have a talented team of staff who are committed to achieving those aims.

“Pupils are safe and happy in school. The school’s care, guidance and support are strong, enabling most pupils to thrive. Pupils show good respect for one another, for staff and other adults, and for their school environment” (Ofsted 2016)

If you would like to know more about us or would like to arrange a visit to the school, please do not hesitate to contact us. Your son or daughter’s futures really do begin here.

Best wishes,
Janice Rowlands, Head teacher
